“We are taught to control the body by way of the mind, which is considered far superior. But the body has an intelligence whose mysteries the mind has yet to fathom. We read in books how to eat, how to make love, how much sleep to get, and impose these practices on the body rather than listening from within.” ~Anodea Judith

It amazes me how you think you have yourself together and then another layer starts to peel away leaving you freshly vulnerable…yet again. It’s no accident that it was this week that I was finally inspired to jump into the root cakra. Issues affecting this energy centre include: grounding, nourishment, trust, health, appropriate boundaries. Some of the deficiencies include anxiety, fear, and poor boundaries. I’m feeling sort of astounded, because believe it or not this is a recent observation, that not everyone lives with fear and a jumpy nervous system. I’m simply putting this out there because I’m feeling like a child excited by a new toy. Focusing on grounding, saying no and putting down boundaries, giving myself time to just be, is super challenging but as I just stay with it, the clarity that is coming is illuminating!

I’m typing this at The Good Neighbour Cafe (try the decaf almond milk latte…it will knock your socks off) and a woman is standing in front of my table with a button on her bag that says, “Miracles Happen.” Indeed.

Jump in with me! See what happens!
